Online Safety
Protecting your home
We are here to help. Our Helpdesk team are trained on the latest threats and mitigation techniques, so they are here ready to support you with any questions, or concerns in the future you may have. We don't have the high overheads of the larger companies, and this allows us to offer support that isn't available elsewhere.
Safety Features
What we block
We not only block millions of malicious websites, we also actively block thousands of AI bots, malicious IP address, and techniques that scammers and hackers use to target you and your family.
Our cyber security team and partners spends their days discovering the latest scams and techniques so we can implement the necessary measures to prevent them from reaching Halo Internet customers.
Scamming
Scammers that trick Nana into installing remote access software will find it doesn't work. Even if Nana gets fooled, our security will block the common tools the scammers use to connect.
By default, Nana is protected, and so are you and your kids. Halo have taken a new stance on security. You must opt-out, not in.
Safety for Kids
A new Halo connection with the Tri-Fi router will have reasonable security defaults, this includes blocking everything malicious that we learn about, and violent or pornographic content on your kids network.
Our Halo Protect App is designed to support families and navigate their children's online experience in a way they choose to set up. The parent will have full oversight of any device the kids use on the kids WiFi stream.
Growing with your digital family
Keeping kids safe online is a continuous journey, not a single checkbox. As technology changes and your kids get older, your boundaries will change too.
Perfect parenting doesn't exist, and you don’t need all the answers. Just stay involved, keep talking, and make sure your child knows you are always in their corner when they face digital hurdles.
Our Resource Page is full of useful and educational resources to help guide you through your kids digital journey.
